  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp sugar (for strawberries)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, salt, and eggs until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy; gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Spread half of the brownie batter in the prepared dish. Layer with the cheesecake mixture and top with the remaining brownie batter; swirl gently.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool slightly.
  6. Toss sliced strawberries with sugar and let sit for about ten minutes. Top brownies with macerated strawberries before serving.
