Description

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp agar-agar powder dissolved in warm water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two round cake pans with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In another bowl, beat butter until creamy; add eggs one at a time along with vanilla.
  3. Gradually combine dry ingredients into the wet mixture until smooth. Fold in white chocolate chips.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese and sour cream until smooth; stir in dissolved agar-agar.
  5. Divide half of the chocolate batter between the pans. Spoon cheesecake filling on top without mixing it into the batter. Pour remaining chocolate batter over cheesecake layer.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely before serving.
