  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare brownie mix according to package instructions; pour into a greased springform pan and bake for 20 minutes until set but fudgy.
  2. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the cooled brownie base and spread evenly.
  4. Bake at the same temperature for an additional 30-35 minutes until edges are set but center is slightly jiggly. Allow cooling in the oven with the door slightly cracked.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least four hours or overnight before serving.
