- 1 large sourdough loaf (about 1 pound)
- 4–5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup cooked chicken or turkey, shredded
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- ¼ cup olive oil
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella or parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly coat a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Cut off the top of the sourdough loaf and scoop out some insides, leaving about an inch of bread around the edges.
- In a bowl, mix together shredded chicken, minced garlic, chopped herbs, and olive oil until well combined.
- Spoon the filling into the hollowed loaf. If desired, sprinkle cheese on top before placing the lid back on.
- Wrap the stuffed loaf in aluminum foil and bake for 20-25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving warm.
